ScienceMan (Birthday drawing for my brother)
My brother does all sorts of weird things in the name of science. I'm not sure if science approves of them, but he does them anyway. Since today is his birthday, I made him into an appropriate superhero. Pray to God he never has to save you by going all sciency on you.
The lower part of the torso is too long in relation to the rest of the body, but since I only noticed that after I inked it, I didn't want draw the whole thing again. So sorry for that, bro, you just became taller.

Phat2 (Exchange with Phat2)
Eagle theme
Unfortunately, I've had quite some issues colouring this one. Both of the papers refused to take up the colours as they are supposed to do, resulting in virtually no blending at all. Instead, it felt like I was working with a combination of water-based paint and crayons. I guess I didn't clean the desk properly enough after moving it to our new apartment, so that the papers took up some water, grease, or something else that made them unable to work with. That could explain the inking issues I had before as well.
Anyway, I hope you still enjoy the result!

Outlines: Phat2 (Exchange with Phat2)
Because it was requested, I'll occasionally post some outlines on this blog as well. These are the pencil and ink outlines of the project I'm currently working on (as well as some first colour). I'm still experimenting a lot with new techniques, which sometimes goes well, and sometimes blows up in my face. This time, the latter happened when I tried a new way of inking the fat outlines of the letters, unfortunately resulting in a lot of smudges (not all of them visible in this picture, but they're there). I'll stick to my old method for now..
